I had a brief weekend in Brooklyn, New York recently and as a test to my abilities — and to become more acquainted with my new GH2 — I recorded quite a few videos. There are new #longphoto shot in Brooklyn, which are on Instagram and this website, and photographs will be coming shortly as well.
I am very thrilled with the quality the camera produces (a full 1080p!) and feel confident in my upcoming projects after seeing the following videos taken from my flights.
I suggest playing these videos over a projector and turning up this more than perfect album to go along with it. Enjoy!

Who knew hacking your camera could be so much fun? First go at it and I'm impressed with how much it improves video on the GH2.
For the past seven years I have been taking photos and video with the iPhone as well as photographing for the past four years with my not so trusty Fuji FinePix S2 Pro (which produces the most incredible colours I have seen from a DSLR) – before that it was all film. Though it has been a challenge that I enjoyed, I figured it was time to upgrade to something more professional: the Panasonic GH2. With the #longphoto project I am beginning, I researched far and wide to find the best camera for video. The selling point for me? It was used to film the ultimately gorgeous film Upstream Color.
Below is the first #longphoto I shot using the GH2 with a 14-42mm lens. I'm quite thrilled and excited.
Now, to get more beautiful faces on my list to #longphoto. It's going to be portrait after portrait and I can't wait. Interested in being #longphoto'd? Email me at hello (at) helloerica.com.
